| Jacks or Better 8/5 | RTP 97.30% with perfect play |
| Full-pay Deuces Wild | RTP 100.76% with perfect play (rare) |
| Typical pace (estimate) | Around 600 hands an hour; experts have been timed at over 2,000 |
| Average cost per hour at $1.25 a bet | $3.45 ($750.00 wagered) |
"9/6" means a full house pays 9 and a flush pays 6 per coin. Cutting those to 8/5 drops the RTP from 99.54% to 97.30%, which makes the game almost six times as expensive. Always check the paytable before you play. Pick "Jacks or Better 8/5" in the calculator above to compare.
Those RTPs assume perfect strategy on every hand. Mistakes lower the return, so lower the RTP in the calculator to see what they could cost.
Speed is the real cost. At 600 hands an hour and $1.25 a hand (five quarters), you put $750 an hour through the machine.
House edges for table games and video poker are exact, worked out from the rules. Slot RTPs vary by game and casino. Bets per hour are estimates, so change them to match how you play. The lucky and unlucky lines are an approximation showing the top and bottom 10% of players.

FAQ
Can video poker be beaten?
A few full-pay games, like full-pay Deuces Wild, return slightly more than 100% with perfect play. They are rare and tend to disappear once players find them.
What is a good paytable?
For Jacks or Better, look for 9/6 (full house 9, flush 6). The 8/5 version costs almost six times as much per hour.
Why bet the maximum coins?
On most machines the royal flush pays 800 per coin at maximum bet instead of 250. The RTPs above assume maximum coins.
Do you take money from casinos?
No. notluck has no casino affiliates and no gambling ads.
