notluck.net is a free gambling cost calculator. This page explains what information is collected when you use it, who collects it and what you can do about it. Questions: notluck.net@gmail.com.
The short version
- No accounts, no sign-ups, no forms. We never ask for your name or contact details.
- The numbers you type into the calculator stay in your browser. They are never sent to us.
- In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics and Google AdSense only use cookies if you click "Consent" in the cookie message. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings.
- We don't sell data, and we don't show gambling ads.
Hosting (Cloudflare)
The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and basic request details (such as the page requested and your browser type) to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. This is necessary to run the website. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Visit statistics (Google Analytics)
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful: for example, how many people visit, which pages they read, which country they're in and what kind of device they use. It does not tell us who you are.
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics only stores cookies (named _ga and _ga_…) after you consent. If you don't, Google may still receive anonymous, cookieless signals that a page was viewed. Elsewhere, these cookies are used by default. Detailed analytics data is deleted after at most 14 months; Google keeps only aggregated totals (such as the number of visits per page) after that, which can't be linked to you. Ads (Google AdSense)
Ads help keep the site free. They are provided by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies to show ads, limit how often you see the same ad and measure results. With your consent, ads can be personalised based on your interests; without it, Google shows non-personalised ads that only use limited data, such as your approximate location. We block gambling and betting ads.
In the EU, the UK and Switzerland, a cookie message from Google asks for your choice before any of this happens. You can opt out of personalised ads everywhere in Google's ad settings.
Cookies
notluck.net itself sets no cookies. The cookies below come from Google and, in the EU, the UK and Switzerland, are only used after you consent. You can change your choice at any time with Cookie settings, or delete cookies in your browser.

Stored in your browser only
The site remembers two preferences in your browser's local storage: light or dark mode, and your currency if you change it. They never leave your device, and clearing your browser data removes them.
The calculator runs entirely in your browser. If you use "Copy share link", your calculator settings are added to that link so whoever opens it sees the same numbers. Nothing is sent to us.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when they are no longer needed.
Your rights
If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland, you can ask for access to, correction or deletion of personal data about you, object to its use, and withdraw consent at any time (use Cookie settings). We hold almost no data ourselves; most of it is held by Google, which you can manage in your Google account. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
Age
This site is meant for adults (18+). It is not aimed at children.
Changes
If we change how the site handles data, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
